John Andreini Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM – March 8, 2021 – Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 John Andreini Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually by the All American Ruidoso Downs Foundation Board of Directors in memory of former owner and partner, John Andreini. The deadline for submitting applications is April 15, 2021.

“This will be the third year that we have awarded this scholarship, and this year, the Board of Directors decided to increase the total amount of the scholarship fund from $6,000 to $7,000,” said Jeff True, President and General Manager of Ruidoso Downs Race Track. “The Board is pleased to be able to honor John in this manner and to help these students defray the cost of their education a bit.”

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

·       Applicants or their families must be involved in the horse racing community

·       Applicants must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 in their most recent year of study

·       Applicants must currently attend or will attend a college (university, vocation school or certificate program) within six months of the application date
