Rita Danley Distaff Stakes
Fanncee Cruises Home a Winner in Rita Danley Distaff at Ruidoso Downs Race Track
Ruidoso Downs, NM—Fanncee, a four-year-old mare bred in New Mexico, broke sharply and came home an easy one-length winner in the $30,000 Rita Danley Distaff Saturday at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.
It was the mare’s first start since a second-place finish last summer in the Zia Derby at Ruidoso Downs. Fanncee was ridden by jockey Adrian Ramos for trainer Wes Giles and owner Mac Murry of MJ Farms.
Fanncee paid $4.20, $2.60 and $2.40 covering the 350-yards in 17.451 seconds on a sloppy track. The mare is sired by Big Daddy Cartel out of the mare Astica by Jesse James Jr. The mare has three wins in ten career starts and earnings of over $150,000.
