Trainer Todd Fincher had quite a day, running first through third in the first leg of the Mountain Top TB Futurity trials and first and second in the second leg. But his biggest win came in the Ruidoso QH Invitational Stakes.
A Dangerous Flash broke with the leaders from the outside draw, quickly took command, and drove clear, "He's breaking good this year so that will help him tremendously," said Fincher, who was hopeful this gelding could get into the finals for the Rainbow after making both the Ruidoso consolation and last year's All American consolation.
As for the thoroughbreds, he'll have half the field when they line up for the Mountain Top. He expressed that he liked Lonzo Who best going into the races today "but you never know" and that "trip will decide the winner in the finals," after Lonzo Who, Marked and Life Jacket all put in excellent performances today.
